Twilight Training for Teachers is a free series of educator-oriented, outcome-focused presentations and workshops that take place during the school year at LIH Olivia’s Place.
To foster a productive exchange of ideas between professionals, we offer topics covering motor development, speech & Language development, behavior, learning, executive functioning, and support for children with special needs, and mental health.

Behavior Difficulties in Children — Common causes and management
Geared for teachers and teaching assistants, this workshop will focus on when behavior is an issue, causes, and how to help teachers of with common behavioral challenges.
What is Pediatric Therapy?
This presentation is an overview of pediatric therapy and the services provided by LIH Olivia’s Place. It includes information about pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy. We will also cover psychology services for children and options for families with children who are faced with learning challenges.
The Sensory Motor Aspect of Drawing/Handwriting
This presentation will discuss early identification of sensory motor problems, how to develop handwriting proficiency, as well as how to support middle school students who still have handwriting challenges. Pre-K -Elementary teachers will benefit most from this presentation.
